Fatso
Cameri Theater
A wild romantic comedy
A play based upon the story “Fatso” by Etgar Keret. It is an ordinary love story about a very ordinary Tel Aviv guy, a swimming pool life guard, who falls in love with an ordinary girl… who is haunted by a curse. By night she turns into a man, but then again, nobody is perfect. The lifeguard attempts to save the girl, aided by a post-trauma street musician, his post-optimistic mother, the doctor who killed his father and the Georgian mafia. But finally, this is really an ordinary love story in which, of course, love is victorious.

*On this date there will be Hebrew and English surtitles - Reviews:".Shirili Deshe’s staging is very graceful, rich in ideas and references. The acting is refined; the production concept is based upon the marvelous contrasts between very Israeli visual content and seemingly Shakespearian aspects." (Haaretz)
