Aryeh (Ian) Wiseglass: Landscapes of the Mind

Aryeh (Ian) Wiseglass (b. 1995, Manchester, England; immigrated to Israel in 2005; lives and works in Jerusalem) is an architect, artist and photographer, studied Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 2001.
This first solo exhibition by the artis consists of a series of small abstract watercolour paintings that have been scanned at a high resolution and printed at a greatly enlarged scale.
The series is inspired by the work of JMW Turner, Josef Albers, and Mark Rothko. The emotional depth and spiritual resonance of their art arise from their combination of colour and form.
