Oscar-winning playwright Martin McDonagh ("In Bruges" and "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri") delivers a modern masterpiece. A writer in a totalitarian state is imprisoned and interrogated about the unsettling similarities between his gruesome short stories and a series of child murders occurring in his town. Dark, witty, and deeply poetic, the play weaves a fine line between horror and enchantment, much like a classic fairy tale.
