The Roommate
The Cameri Theatre
A Wickedly Funny, Unpredictable Comedy
By: Jen Silverman | Translation: Gur Koren | Director: Shirili Deshe Music: Itamar Gross Starring: Miki Kam and Odeya Koren
Sharon, a divorced retiree in her sixties, lives in a small American town, loves to cook, and dreams of growing her own vegetables in the backyard. Oh, and she's looking for a roommate. Enter Robin, a free-spirited New Yorker, a lesbian and a vegan, with a skeleton or two in her closet. Far from being put off by her new roommate’s unconventional ways, Sharon finds herself drawn into Robin’s world. What begins as a simple cohabitation arrangement soon takes an unexpected and dangerous turn. A wickedly funny, unpredictable two-hander that captivated Broadway audiences.
