Leo, a mute orphan who struggles to fit in, runs away from her institution to enter a fishing competition that may bring back memories of her parents. Along the way, she meets Lou, a nonconformist, unemployed and penniless drifter. When he agrees to give her a lift, the two embark on an unexpected adventure, gradually becoming inseparable and discovering the extraordinary meaning of the word "family".
