Bamidbar Devarim
Kamea Dance Company
Choreography: Tamir Ginz
Original Music: Avi Belleli
Costume design: Anna Mirkin
Stage and lighting design: Shay Yehudai
"Bamidbar Devarim" in Hebrew means both "Desert of Things" and "Numbers / Deuteronomy". The work was inspired by the unique and infinitely varied natural and human landscape of the desert. Watching the piece unfold on stage, one can feel the pulse of the wilderness that dominates all living things – the raw power inherent in explosive physicality.
It is a meeting between West and East, between the individual and the tribe.
The work is iconic to Ginz’s movement language in Kamea, has received outstanding reviews, and is considered one of the company’s signature creations.
