Chaim & Chaim: Songs by Chaim Hefer and Chaim Gouri
'Sing-along with the Orchestra' series
A series of public singing performances in the Jerusalem Theatre's Concert Hall
With the participation of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eldad Shrem
What these two great poets share is not only their given name—Chaim, meaning Life—but also the moment when their work was created and became timeless: the early years of the young State of Israel and the first key steps in building an original Hebrew culture.
This concert features the two Chaims' moving and ravishing songs, including Bab El Wad (The Valley’s Gate), Hare’ut (Camaraderie), Hen Efshar (It Should Be Possible), Hayu Zmanim (There Were Times), and many other works that have become our canon.
