The Cameri Theatre

A family comedy-drama

By: Tal Miller
Directed by: Amit Apte
Cast: Rami Baruch, Sandra Sade, Naama Chetrit, Uriah Jablonowsky, Andreea Shvartz, David Bilenka, Refael Abas / Alon Sandler, and Sandra Schonwald

Bini has waited fifty years for the chance to reunite with Ruta, his childhood sweetheart, and return with her to the neighborhood where they both grew up in Dubrovnik, Croatia. When Ruta becomes a widow, Bini realizes the time has come. He buys a one-way ticket for two, gathers his courage, and comes home planning to tell Naomi, his wife, that he is about to leave her. His heart races, the front door opens—and… Bini finds himself walking into a surprise party celebrating his own golden wedding anniversary, lovingly organized by his family. Bini, who has never disappointed his family, smiles from ear to ear, enjoying the greetings, the cocktails, and the family videos. Yet deep inside, he knows: if he follows his heart, he will break the hearts of those who love him.

Past and present intertwine, merging into a wild, funny, and deeply touching family story.
* Inspired by outrageously improbable stories that really occurred.
