Clear the Head – An Urban Legend
The Cameri Theatre
A comedy by Ilan Hatzor
Director: Mor Frank
Cast: Irit Kaplan, Itzik Cohen, Elad Atrakchi, Dudu Niv, Osnat Ben-Yehuda, Simcha Barbiro, and Tal Weiss
As local elections near, the long-time, power-hungry mayor, Mr. Moshe Schwartzman, is extremely worried: no one dares to challenge him! Without a challenger, there's no campaign—and without a campaign, donors' money is likely to dry up. Even worse, people might start calling him a dictator. And he, after all, prides himself on being a beacon of democracy. So, what do we do? We'll create the illusion of a fair race by finding a fake opponent—someone only their family would vote for, maybe. When the cleaning lady comes in to start her shift, the scheme suddenly becomes obvious: the perfect candidate has been found. Her name is Ilana, and she is here to stay!
A sharp and moving comedy about a determined woman who refuses to look the other way when it comes to dirt (of any kind).
