Itay loves getting lost in books and dreams of becoming a hero who goes on the kind of thrilling adventures he reads about. But the kids at the junkyard teasingly call him "bookworm", and never want him in their games. One day, Itay discovers that the town is planning to tear down both the kids’ junkyard and his beloved library. With a boost from Galila, the librarian, and Wasserman, her faithful assistant, Itay realizes that this could be his moment to become a hero. He rallies the kids to join him, and together they set out to save the field and the library, and to appeal to the mayor himself. Thanks to Itay’s wild imagination and the kids’ teamwork, they manage to overturn the mayor’s unfair decree.
