The show centers on an extremely popular Israeli radio program in the pre-TV 1960s. "Tshuot Rishonot" premiered totally unknown singers, often igniting their careers: Avi Toledano, Hava Alberstein, Yardena Arazi, Gali Atari, Ofra Haza, Matti Caspi, Rivka Zohar, and many more.
