When Moti Bernstein, an Ashkenazi yeshiva student, falls in love with Moroccan Nechami Biton, he realizes that the ultra-Orthodox community in Bnei Brak won't accept their relationship. His mother, along with Nechami's mother, the matchmaker, and Baruch, the loyal helper, will do everything possible to stop the "Wort" (Yiddish for the "promise given"). But Moti is not willing to give up! Well, if love is blind and doesn't see the differences between Ashkenazim and Sephardim, maybe he should stay blind.
