This evening, outstanding students from the Oriental Music Department will perform works from the classical repertoire of Arabic music, alongside contemporary original compositions. The performance moves between the tradition and essence of classical Arabic style and the freshness and innovation that this unique style allows and even demands from its performers.

The Department of Eastern Music at the Academy has produced generations of musicians, artists, composers, and educators. The best artists in the field of Arabic art music in Israel today are graduates of this institution.
