An unemployed theatre director named Leon is about to give an acting workshop in a high-security prison. He really needs the dough. Together with Jeanne, an actress who happens to be his ex-wife, and Alice, a young and inexperienced social worker, he arrives at the workshop to discover that only two prisoners have shown up: Kevin, a quick-tempered young man, and Angel, a fifty-something tight-lipped prisoner.
