Yaakov (Yankele) Bodo is the greatest star ever on the Yiddishpiel Theatre stage. As he turns 93, three young actresses are sure he's about to retire, opening the way for one of them to take his place. They only have to persuade Bodo to choose one of them as his heir.
The three compete for Bodo's attention throughout the show by presenting him with the best skits and songs of the Yiddish repertoire. They don't know that despite his advanced age, Bodo has no intention of getting off the Jewish Theatre's stage soon.
