Eighteen-year-old Azriel looks forward to starting studies at the most prestigious Hesder Yeshiva in two and a half weeks. Unfortunately, on the brink of materializing his lifelong dream, he meets a group of Tel Aviv poets who make him question his life path. Despite his strong attraction to the newly discovered world and beautiful Atara (a young, bold poetess), Azriel fears that his coming out of the "closet/holy ark" will adversely affect his parents, mainly his father, who is a lead candidate for heading the local Yeshiva. Torn between Torah and Poetry, Azriel tries to meander between the two secretly, but his maneuvers reveal a dark family secret with ominous consequences.

  • Reviews:
"One of the best shows I've ever seen. Sudden bursts of laughter alternate with moments that give you the chills. The acting is excellent, the soundtrack caressing, the direction precise, and the play hypnotizing." (Maariv)"The play, sensitively written, undulates between moments of comedy and seriousness and is perfected by the cast's convincing acting. The interwoven poems enrich the sensitive coming-of-age play with a stimulating poetic layer. This small drama is charged with a powerful human charge thanks to David Shaul's sensitive and convincing performance." (Yedioth Ahronoth)
