Apples From the Desert

The Beit Lessin Theatre

An amusing, painful, and moving Israeli love story

By Savyon Liebrecht | Directed by Amir I. Wolf

Featuring Tiki Dayan, Jonathan Cherchi, Lirit Balaban, Gal Amitai, and Tamar Amit-Joseph

Sarah, Victoria's sister, is horrified: Rumor has it that Rivka, Victoria and Reuben's only daughter, was seen with some guy at the entrance of a Jerusalemite movie theatre! The sisters try to tear the lovers apart, only to get entangled in a matchmaking trap. A romantic play about the desires of the heart, sisterly love overcoming all obstacles, and the exquisite taste of apples from the desert.

A new production of Savyon Liebrecht's acclaimed play based on her short story.
The play was adapted into a mini-TV series, film, and a successful play shown in Israel and abroad, winning praise and awards, including the Israeli Theatre Best Play Award.
