The Anat Art Center in Jerusalem – Enosh, The Israeli Mental Health Association: Anchors

Group Exhibition
The Anat Art Center in Jerusalem of "Enosh — The Israeli Mental Health Association", was established in memory of Anat Gumpel, of blessed memory, recognizing the profound impact art can have on the soul. The Center believes that art has the power to express the inner world and provide a space for growth, venting, and healing. Alongside personal expression, the art at the center fosters connections between people and different worldviews.
The exhibition showcases the works of creators who participated in the Center over the past year. This year, we chose to compile works from various mediums—painting, sculpting, writing, knitting, and music—under the title "Anchors".
This year has been one of great turmoil for us as a society, marked by pain, uncertainty, and loss. It has been a year in which we had to summon significant inner strength to cope. Art, as you will read in the personal and touching texts of the participants, the Center serves as a significant anchor in their lives. This anchor is what we wish to share with you here in the exhibition. It is not always easy to find and identify anchors; sometimes we are so immersed in difficulties that we struggle to see the positive side. Sometimes, simply asking the question "What serves as an anchor for me?" can shift our thinking towards a more positive direction.
