Place, Time, and Color A Man's Life Journey: Reflecting on life through the art of Meir Eldar

Meir Eldar (1928-2018, may he rest in peace), a Holocaust survivor who immigrated to Israel in 1946 and fought in the Israeli Palmach breach of the besieged city of Jerusalem. Meir began his artistic journey in the 1950s as a student at The Bezalel Academy of Arts, embarking on 40 years of artistic creation spanning a lifetime. Meir's collection of work, showcased in the exhibition, provides a glimpse into his artistry, ranging from landscape paintings of his home city of Jerusalem to abstract pieces that celebrate the correlation between color and form.
