"Dance is an ever-changing sculpture in constant movement. Photography freezes moments on the timeline.

The dance performance offers an inexhaustible bounty of perfect moments, eagerly sought by the photographer. 

Photographing in the neutral space of the studio, with no set or stage lighting effects, allowed me to capture and highlight the dance per se, as embodied in the figures of the dancers.

I sought to create perfect images that included within them story, emotion, significance, creativity, originality, inspiration, and precise aesthetics. The results were not satisfactory.

Only then did I realize that the uplifting moments experienced in a live performance are not captured by the eye of a camera, I added a second, reverberating layer, open to interpretation by the viewer.
