Veteran actor Yaakov Bodo embarks on a fantastical journey back in time, to a dream where the Yiddish classic "Songs from the Meggile" comes alive on a Broadway stage. But when a no-nonsense American director tries to run the show by Broadway's book, he clashes with the fiercely devoted Yiddish troupe who won't compromise on tradition. What follows is a whirlwind of hilarity, intrigue, and unexpected romance, as the drunken king, the wily vizier, the proud queen, and the scheming Mordecai come alive like never before.
In this dazzling theatrical adventure, ancient legends shed their dusty robes and don vibrant new colors – funny, touching, and delightfully irreverent. The result is a bold and magical blend of past and present, Yiddish and English, the sacred and the profane, tragedy and comedy.
A truly one-of-a-kind experience that will leave you laughing, moved, and rethinking everything you thought you knew about Purim and the Book of Esther.
