Habima Theatre

A musical play on the life of Naomi Shemer

The life story of Naomi Shemer is the story of this land. In the play we meet Naomi at four turning points in her life, at which she must fight for her personal and professional future. The play includes songs that she wrote and composed and for the first time portrays Shemer not as a national legend, but as she really was: a complex artist, pioneering feminist, a woman who was not afraid of being heard.
