The Patriarchs and the Matriarchs

Gesher Theatre

Directed by: Amit Epstein
Cast: Doron Tavori, Natasha Manor, Gilad Kletter, Michal Weinberg, Alon Friedman and Tali Osadchi

"Stop shouting, Jacob! Let the dead live"!

3,500 years after being buried in the Cave of the Patriarchs, the three fathers and three mothers wake up, bickering about parenthood and marital relations, circumcision and the binding of Isaac, faith, and history. Little do they know what is happening above them in the present until they encounter reality.

An inspiring and witty story from one of Israel's most celebrated writers, Meir Shalev.
