"Kontsertina VeGitara"(Concertina and Guitar) Songs by Sasha Argov
Sing-along with the Orchestra series with the participation of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eldad Shrem
Featuring: Chani Dinur, Ella Tadmor, Eli Gorenstein, and Yuval Bilgorai
Sasha Argov brought a unique flavor to the Israeli music of the mid-twentieth century. On the one hand – his style was European, sophisticated, and replete with subtle humor. On the other hand, his melodies were humanely individualistic and written with great lyrical sensitivity. Argov's output was over a thousand (!) songs. It is difficult, if not impossible, to describe the world of Israeli music without songs like Kacha Stam (Just Like That ), Yossi, Yeled Sheli Mutzlach (Yossi, My Brilliant Kid), Shir Hash'chuna (The Neighborhood Song) or Dina Barzilai.
Among the songs that will be performed at the concert under the baton of Eldad Shrem: Lailah Badarom (A Night in the South), Lifnot Erev (Twilight Time), Dina Barzilai, Panas Boded (Lonely Lantern), Zemer HaMapuchit (The Harmonica Song), Yossi, Yeled Sheli Mutzlach (Yossi, My Brilliant Kid), Shir Mishmar (Beware), Kontsertina VeGitara (Concertina and Guitar), Ze Lo Bishvili (Not for Me) and more.
