Ze'ira the Melodist

Pianist Dr. Astrith Baltsan

Featuring: Dr. Astrith Baltsan, Prof. Moshe Zorman (accordion, trombone, and piano), Keren Hadar and Guests

Among the "folky" oldies and goodies by Mordechai Zeira, one of Israel's pivotal troubadours, were "Khultsa K'chula" (The Blue Shirt), "Layla Layla" (Night, oh, Night), "Nigun Attik" (Ancient Melody), and children's songs such as "Pil Pilon" (Little Elephant). The show offers spectacular renditions and fascinating arrangements of some of the most beloved gems of the Hebrew Folk Song Genre.
