From the Jewish shtetl, through the gates of Ellis Island, to the twinkling lights of Broadway. A journey via the songs that shaped the lives of Jewish immigrants on their way to the United States and the creation of the musical – America's soundtrack. Through a selection of popular songs and some less-known gems, we will reenact the Jewish shtetl, the longing for life in America, and ultimately, the

adaptation to life in America and the birth of a unique musical identity.

 

The show is in Yiddish, with Hebrew and Russian translations.
