Beautiful and bright Ruchele finally finds a marriage partner in his thirties. Shloime, her father, a widowed Holocaust survivor, is elated. However, following the meeting with the "perfect groom," painful and hitherto repressed memories from the war in Poland surface. Consequently, he decides to cancel the wedding.
